The Canedys serve missionaries, pastors and churches for the cause of worldwide missions. 

 

Dr. Canedy serves as Deputation Director and Field Administrator - USA Church Planting & Canada for Baptist World Mission in Decatur, AL.  His love is to preach for mission conferences and mission emphasis services challenging God's people for the cause of our Savior.  His responsibilities include the privilege of working with those who answer God's call to missionary service and apply to serve with Baptist World Mission.  Dr. Canedy guides missionary prospects through the consideration, application, and appointment process with BWM.  Once appointed as BWM missionaries, Brother Canedy is responsibile for the oversight, training, counsel, and encouragement of deputation missionaries as they prepare for their deputation and field ministries.  Dr. Canedy also serves as Administrator for USA Church Planting, providing service to the BWM USA church planting missionaries.

 

After a fruitful seven year youth ministry, Dave and Nancy served with their family as missionaries in Canada for 10 years, 1990-2000.  They also labored together in their home church while Dave served as Senior Pastor at Marquette Manor Baptist Church, 2000-2009.  During that time, Dave also served on the Board of Trustees for Baptist World Mission.  It is now their delight to serve those who are called of God to missionary service.  As our Lord commanded, "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into His harvest."    Matthew 9:38.  It is their prayer that the Lord will use them as "fellow helpers" in His harvest, aiding and moving forward God's servants to their portion of His harvest field.
